We apply the same principles of openness to all the requests for information we receive, in whatever format.  Requests made under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, however, must be in a 'permanent form' - in writing.  Ways to submit your request are shown below but check our publication scheme below before making a request.  The information you're looking for may already be publicly available. Authorities are under a legal obligation to:
  • publish the classes of information that they make routinely available
  • tell the public how to access the information and what it might cost.
Scotland Europa and the Scottish Government, East of Scotland European Consortium and West of Scotland European Forum (The Sponsors) have adopted the Model Publication Scheme 2011 produced by the Scottish Information Commissioner. The Scottish Information Commissioner has approved this scheme until 31 May 2015.
